Qld: Pinch broke child's skin, court told
A court has heard that a staff member at a central Queensland childcare centre foundbroken skin pinch marks on a sobbing child.
Kiddzko Childcare director 60-year-old BEVERLEY FLORENCE FEHLHABER and her 36-year-olddaughter SHARRIE LIANNE FEHLHABER are facing the Rockhampton Magistrates Court chargedwith torturing and assaulting eight children.
BEVERLEY FEHLHABER is also charged with failing to provide adequate care for a child,while another daughter, 26-year-old JACEY CHANDELL FEHLHABER, is charged with assaultingtwo children.
Police closed the childcare centre on July 8, 2002.
Former Kiddzko carer 18-year-old DENISE BULL has told the court she had seen SHARRIEFEHLHABER talking to a child and then when she want to comfort the crying child noticedindentations and broken skin on the child's hand.
The committal hearing continues.
