NT: Father saves 8 y o girl from jaws of crocodile
An eight-year-old girl was attacked by a saltwater crocodile on Saturday while her
family was hunting for turtles in a stream outside Timber Creek near the Western Australian
border.
Her dad, ROY HARRINGTON, says his daughter MARTINA struggled free from the animal's
jaws when her five-year-old brother PAUL distracted the crocodile by grabbing its tail.
The family had mistaken bubbles and waves in the water for the tell-tale signs of a turtle.
